Professor Makio Yamada is an advisor at the National Labor Observatory. He previously served as a senior research fellow and an advisor at the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, where he directed research on political economy and public policy and collaborated with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and the Ministry of Education. He has taught at Princeton University and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, and also conducted research at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies. He received his DPhil and MPhil from the University of Oxford.
