On Monday, February 27, international and local experts discussed in the Barida hall at the Intercontinental Hotel in Riyadh the factors of success and excellence of the National Observatory of Labor. Experts from the World Bank and officials from many government agencies participated in it, in addition to a group of experts, specialists and those interested in labor affairs, the most important factors of success and excellence of the National Labor Observatory.

The workshop reviewed international experiences in building successful labor observatories, in addition to the important roles these observatories play in addressing labor issues and affairs, in addition to their contribution to supporting efforts to address the issue of unemployment.

During the workshop, the participants discussed the factors of success and distinction of the observatory, and enhancing its role and effectiveness to empower the beneficiaries, in light of the completion of the strategy for activating the National Labor Observatory.

The workshop also reviewed the international trends report entitled Gig-Econmay, which discusses international experiences in adapting new work patterns, in addition to the benchmarking report to compare the performance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the twenty countries in the labor market within five main indicators, as this report is one of the products issued by the National Labor Observatory.

The Executive Director of the National Labor Observatory, Dr. Osama Al-Jumaili, stressed the importance of strengthening partnerships with international houses of expertise, in addition to learning about similar experiences in international observatories, exchanging experiences, harmonizing them, and investing them locally. His role towards the partners to ensure high levels of effectiveness with the beneficiaries.
